I saw a similar problem this past week. I had visitors staying with 
me and I turned on Internet Sharing on a spare iBook to allow then to 
connect a non-wireless PowerBoook G3 to my network. It worked fine 
for a day or so then stopped and nothing we could do would get it 
going again. Internet Sharing was handing out DHCP leases so that 
part was working, but it just seemed to stop routing and nothing 
would get it going again, not even reinstalling OS X etc.

My verdict: Internet Sharing is flaky, even in OS X 10.2.6.
