Far and away the simplest solution is just to activate Postifx in your Panther install. Postfix Enabler is the way to go. <http://www.roadstead.com/weblog/ Tutorials/PostfixEnabler.html> After setting this up and changing the settings on you email smtp server to 127.0.0.1 you're good to go. Never a need to change again. All you need is an active net connection to send mail.
