How many folks are trusting File Vault?

Specifically I'm interested in securing my home area however I 
currently have Music and Photos and Images which considerably adds to 
my $HOME

So, I was wondering how many people here actually trust and feel 
comfortable having
all their information in one image file albiet encrypted?

I'm interested in encrypting a documents folder as well as my Mail 
folder in case of theft.
