You're right, Paul. The Rack, when placed on a desk, is meant to be used with an external keyboard/mouse, and it works nicely that way, I guess. My joy, however, involves how nifty it is when placed over one's lap on a chair, couch, or bed, as I only use a desk or table when I need to spread out papers and books.
