Hi all: I recall that some of you (Woz in particular) recommended the Dazzle 4in1 PC Card for use with SD and MMC cards. So, full of confidence, I went ahead, bought one, put it in my TiPBG4-800's slot and then insert a 32MB SanDisk MMC card. The card contains a bunch of still photos taken with my Canon Elura2MC. First insertion of the MMC card into the adapter results in hung system -- running 10.2.4 -- stone, cold lockup after displaying the little PC card icon on my menu bar next to the modem icon. No blue screen, no multilanguage reboot or else warning, no response to the OPT-CMD-ESC salute. I restarted by pushing the power button and it came back up fine. So, I try it again. This time the PC card icon appears on the menu bar but only has a pop-down menu item allowing me to power down the card. The MMC never mounts or otherwise appears on the desktop. I popped it out and inserted a new 32MB SanDisk SD card. Same thing -- PC card icon appears but the "drive" doesn't mount. The ultra-embarassing thing is that if I put the adapter and card in my W2K Dell Latitude CPx it works just fine -- files and all are there. So, at least I can get the data off the card. But why doesn't my Mac like these cards? Regards, Jim
