So how do you make it invisible > and never become visible anywhere? The dock becomes visible only if you go with the pointer in the dock location, it does not become visible at its will, only at your will ;-) If you start applications via an icon on the desktop or recent items, or if you use a whatever AppLauncher the dock does not show up because of those operations: only if you go with the pointer on the side he is hiding. If you never go there (the last two pixels of the screen) it will never show up. > > Date: Sat, 22 Feb 2003 20:53:13 -0600 > Subject: Re: [Ti] Invisible Dock > From: Robert Nicholson <robert at elastica.com> > Message-Id: <F38F7F2C-46D9-11D7-9016-000393B28C08 at elastica.com> > > How do you plan to activate the Finder when it's hidden? I might be misinterpreting the question: the Finder is supposed to be running whatever the dock is doing: visible or hidden. If you want to get to the Finder, say to open a Finder windows, it is enough to click on any open area of the desktop: the Finder becomes the active application and you can issue - say - a Command-n to get a Finder window. No need to click on the dock icon for that. We were discussing about the Dock which is not the same as the Finder. Cheers
