Apparently the only drives involved are Fujitsu MPG4 series Desktop drives that have the Cirrus Logic Controller cards. The controller chips are encased in epoxy that tends to melt under heat conditions and will suddenly short out causing a sudden and catastrophic failure. None of the drives in the new Powerbooks (which are MHS2 series) are named in the suit. However, the way Fujitsu is treating the people who have had their drives fail is making other people who own Fujitsu products a bit nervous! Almost as bad as Apple treats its customers on occasion...(just kidding!) BTW: These speedy, quiet, cool little Fujitsu drives are one of the reasons the new Powerbooks are so insanely great! jg
