Cyn, if I read her correctly, was giving you the 'party line', in other words, passing along what she was told, she went on to empathize. I am amazed that none of the people-in-the-knw [even the rumor-mongers] hit this one. A lot of us were aware that Apple had been buying tons of 17" LCDs, but everyone, as far as I know, assumed they were set to ramp up the iMac to a 'larger' screen, and were buying the 17s to fill future 'low-end' iMac orders. Rumors centered on a 19" iMac. anyway, Apple has to keep the R&D, which they've been doing, basically, for the entire PC industry for well over a decade, under 'wraps'. The same things will be available on Dells, ....in a couple years. ~flipper
