The part you got is M8244G/A; a 3.6 Amp-hour, 14.4V battery, intended for the original (400/500) TiBook. What you want (I assume) is the 16.6V, 3.9 Amp-hour M8244G/B used in the Gigabit Ethernet/DVI TiBook.
