The Mac has ILF files that are clippings which do much more and are more flexible. Rather than write it all here, I invite you [all] to <http://www.macefficiency.com/> where you can search for ILF. These are my Mac Efficiency columns which date back to pre-OS X but the ILF part is pretty much the same. Just add that with Safari you drag the icon in the URL to make an ILF.
