hi: i did a little looking around and found this thread at the apple
support boards.
http://discussions.info.apple.com/WebX?14@95.cuoTauMemki.8@.3bc114d8/3
i found that if i press firmly right below the left command key i can
cause a freeze. on the above referencedthread, the guy who posted
said he solved this as follows:
"Bascially I found that a small orange ribbon cable that passes right
under the area I mention above had become trapped under a section of
the frame (there's a Torx screw that normally holds the frame down
firmly in this area, this screw had gotten loose). The trapped cable
had become abraded and was starting to short whenever I pressed on that
area, causing the hang."
i'm not so keen on trying that as i don't even see an orange ribbon.
another response to the thread said he had a new logic board installed.
has anyone else experienced this. thanks, eric
