Sleepy Sound Manager

When I wake my TI 550 from sleep, I often times cannot get any audio out of it.  If I leave an application (such as itunes) open when I put it to sleep,  the sound is usually ok when I wake it up.  But if I close all apps before I put it to sleep the sound manager seems to be frozen when I wake the system back up.  I generally have to restart to get the audio working again.  Any Ideas???
