You can do what I did: become a registrar yourself, via OpenSRS ( http://resellers.tucows.com/opensrs/ ). That way, you can buy, transfer, or renew domain names for $10. And you don't have to worry about whether or not you can trust the registrar...you *are* the registrar. -- Mark C.
