>I have the stupid MS Office Test drive on my new 12"Power Book I >bought. Can anyone tell me how to rid of the #*&^ thing since I >already have Office on their( not sure why but...). >It keeps launching and saying expired and I have tried to change >the default to open with the licensed version but seems to ignore >it. I am running 10.2.3. I used to have a copy of Office that I "borrowed" from a colleague. When I got my own copy, it kept on using the old license. Here's how you nuke the old license: [~] %% rm /Applications/Microsoft\ Office\ X/Office/OfficePID [~] %% rm ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Microsoft\ Office\ Settings\ \(10\) I hope that's of help to you. -- Victor Eijkhout <eijkhout at cs.utk.edu> tel: 865 974 9308 (W), 865 673 6998 (H), 865 974 8296 (F) http://www.cs.utk.edu/~eijkhout/
