Bill, I've had the DSC85 for some time and have had no problems. I use it with my PowerBook and iPhoto under OS X. You just plug in the USB cable between the two and the camera is automatically recognized (iPhoto automatically launches). Files are easily transferred between devices. The interface has actually improved as iPhoto has matured.
