List - I have an unusual problem and would appreciate any advice on to whom or with whom I might find a solution. I have a older generation Ti boook (667 w/ gigabit ethernet, 1st one in that catagory), which due to unfortunate circumstances had the power cable forcibly ripped out of the back damaging the internal connector (this in the laptop, not the little transform and cord you plug into the wall, but the jack on the PC where DC power is supplied). As a result the external power supply cannot feed power to the laptop (tried friends AC adapters and they do not work either) and I am forced to use an external battery charger to use the laptop (cannot go to AC power). I was wondering if anybody else has done this, I am sure it must happen occassionaly, and if they know where I can secure a replacement P/S from a third party? I am very mechanically inclined and could easily replace it myself. Even a repair shop that you have had success with for this particular problem would be welcome. Every repair shop I call seems to have a very NOT BRIGHT person in their service department as they insist on trying to sell me a AC adapter to fix my problem. No I do not have Apple Care which doesn't cover this problem anyway. Sincerely, Aaron D. Kulick
