Unfortunately for you, the internal power connector is on the logic board in that revision. If you have good soldering skills, you can try reconnecting the plug to the logic board, but you could easily fry something in that process. I think starting with the DVI PowerBooks, Apple moved the power connector to a tiny little separate board which only costs about $5, similar to what the white iBooks have.
