email functions

Hi list,

Is there any way to get the email program in OS X (10.2.6) to 
automatically open mailboxes with unread emails, just like my eudora 
programs did
in OS 9?
Is there anyway to import the filters from eudora not only the 
mailboxes?

Scripts? Preferences? I looked around didn't see any settings

I am trying out the email program to see how it works for me.

any help is appreciated
