I think the HD idea sounds best for what he wants to do. I got a little more info this morning and he says that he was considering burning to DVD for a partner travelling to Europe.. Video standards problems begin to arise a la PAL/NTSC. This was one of the considerations for going to a laptop solution.. (he needs a new comp. anyway) I think an external FW HD would work in the widest variety of situations. Is there a rule of thumb for how much space video/audio information takes on a HD?
