12" AlBook Latch Problem

Okay...I've had this thing less than a MONTH and my latch isn't working
correctly. It was fine until yesterday evening. I haven't dropped it
or anything. Here's what's going on...when I close the lid, the latch
that descends from the top of the screen into the latching mechanism
below the trackpad is coming out on it's own. I have to close the
screen, and then tap the top of the PowerBook where the latch is, and
then it will latch. It's a minor irritation, but still irritating. I
am going to at some point send it in to Apple to be repaired, but right
now I can get by tapping the lid. I'm kind of waiting to see if
anything else goes wrong before I send it in. Have any of you had this
problem on any of your PowerBooks? Is there anything I can do to
correct it myself w/o having to send it in? At least I have my iMac to
use while it's in the shop. I hate being w/o a computer.
