That is absolutely hysterical.  You are right!  I too consider the 17" Aluminum Powerbook a female.  I call mine "Ali" as in Ali Mc Beal or Ali McGraw.  Big Al either a name for a mechanic, a loan shark, or a Captain of a bowling team.  Big Al is just too clunky for a design so elegant.  LOL
