Source for Matschita CW-8121 or CW-8122?

Hi Tifosi!

The combo-drive in my brother's DVI 667 TiBook failed, and Apple says 
it was user-induced by inserting a foreign object. Apple's estimate for 
the repair is a hard-to-swallow 800,- Euros.

Does anyone in this group have experience with buying an OEM Matshita 
CW-8121 or CW-8122 drive and installing it in their TiBook? And can you 
recommend a supplier in the US or Europe?
