Sync two computers ?

I have replaced my stolen 15" G4 and SmarDisk Firewire backup with: 
12" G4, 40 GB, 867 MHz, 640 MB, OS 10.2.8 
and
G5, 80 GB, 1.6 GHz, 1.25 GB,  OS 10.2.8 (G5-6S90)
and
Maxtor one touch 250 GB external HD backup... 

Determined not to loose 2 years data ever again.

My question is how do I constantly have all, files, new application installations and updates in sync?
