Another thing -- doesn't the default setting on Software Update only 
check every week?  I would wager that most of the folks using Macs 
don't follow all of the "media" about updates that come out and then 
apply them within the hour, but rather first hear about it through 
their updates.  And in that case, they might even still be waiting for 
an announcement of 10.2.8...
