17" Big Al has plastic trim in front of CD slot separating from aluminum

The gray plastic trim that borders the top edge of my opened 17" Big Al is starting to separate from the Aluminum top surface by about .007".

This appears to be happening due to my resting my wrist on top of this plastic trim directly above the CD slot's opening. Unfortunately, this plastic trim then droops down and compromises the space that the CD will need to slide through.

I would imagine that this will continue to separate and get worse over time.

Is this happening to others? Fixes? Apple's response?
