Charles, I had this situation in February and asked the same question on the
PowerList. I was directed to Madsonline, which makes a couple of different
adapters. According to their site
<http://www.madsonline.com/index.html?higoto.html~mainFrame>, American
Airlines uses regular automobile type cigarette lighter sockets. You would
want the $78 auto/air adapter. It comes with an EmPower fitting, so will
work with other aircraft with those type sockets.

I ordered the $28 EmPower Air Adapter at 3:30 one weekday afternoon, paid
about $10 extra for express shipping, and had it delivered to my hotel
before 4pm the next day (Sausalito CA to Silverdale WA).

I don't know if that will work for you, since it's already the weekend. It
looks like they're strictly Mon-Fri on the web site. If you're near an Apple
Store, I wouldn't be surprised if they carried something similar.

Mark
