>Thanks. Where is it in Eudora?

Under the settings is a bundle of settings called "SSL".

>Any idea what SSL stands for?

Secure Socket Layer. My work environment uses secure versions of ftp,
rsh, and I guess the mail protocols.

Set "SSL for POP/SMTP/IMAP" all to optional, and "Standard Port SSL
Negotiation" (don't ask) to "TLS 1.0".

>Is there a Eudora for X? What Eudora are you using?

Yep. I believe the official version is 5.something, but the betas
have been very stable for me; I'm using 6.0b31.
