Apologies for this off-topic subject but I am sure it is of interest to others. Concerning the durability of DVDs as a storage medium, I always thought of DVDs as the ideal storage medium because they were durable and their contents did not fade or deteriorate very much. Now someone tells me that there may be a lawsuit going on somewhere in Europe for precisely opposite factor. Can anyone either confirm, deny or advise on this? I was of the opinion that videocassettes fade with time while DVDs are much, much longer-lived. Thanks! Murray
