I've had that happen three times in 14 months, and it's a 'panic' attack every time. All of a sudden 'poof'... black screen. And, oh, how I'd laugh, over the years, when the first item in the "Troubleshooting" sections was always: Check that the power cord is in the wall. :=) ~flipper
