One tip I have for you is if  you cannot carry your case. Put a should 
strap on it and whenever it's not
in your hand put it next to you on the ground but place your foot 
inside the strap. I have twarted
attempted to steal my laptop bag by doing this. As it happens these 
days though my Tibook is
on my back in a backpack in airports.

Consider a backpack as your next bag.
