[Ti] getting a new Powerbook

Questionable, but also plausible.

If it were me, I would probably get hold of a second hand Ti, or make 
do without until at least the European  Mac Expos.

If it is your insurance paying up, then I suppose I'd probably order 
from the Apple store online and hope that the new one comes out before 
my order is filled.
