AirPort Extreme is the implementation of the IEEE 802.11g wireless 
standard (54 Mbps) whereas Airport is the 802.11b standard, running 
at 11 Mbps.

I added an Airport Card to my Ti-500.
My Al-book came with Airport Extreme built in.
