Lisbeth - I removed all trace of iDisk Utility from my Al-book, downloaded a new dmg, and installed iDisk utility again, then restarted. Absolutely no difference........ So I can access your Public Folder through the Go menu, but not through iDsik Utility. I can access my Public Folder by mounting the iDisk, by using the Go menu, but I still cannot "retrieve my iDisk information" using the iDisk Utility, to enable me to make my Public Folder -read-and-write ! There must be some key difference between these two options, that I am not aware of. They key to my problem is in this difference, I feel. Maybe, as Glenn suggested, it is because they use different ports, one of which is blocked. WHO can help us solve this??!! regards, Trevor Date: Sun, 25 Apr 2004 08:58:34 +0300 To: Lisbeth Zachs <zachs at swedenmail.com> From: "Dr. Trevor J. Lisbeth - THANK YOU for taking the trouble to help me on this one. I tried to use iDisk Utility to access your public folder. I got this message: There is a major internal error. iDisk Utility must quit now This is sounding more like Windows every day...... So is my problem in fact within iDisk Utility??? I used the Go menu to open your Public Folder, without problem, and uploaded a file. So the evidence is pointing to iDisk Utility as the problem. I will try and delete all trace of it and reinstall. I hope that is easy. Trevor
