:-) there is absolutely "nothing" about the super bowl that isn't commodified. Well, maybe there is a very small essence of "play" in some of the players and fans, the fans more likely. Certainly there was some "play" in Justin Timberlake . Watch out Ms. Jackson!!!! LOL :-) It's totally a business run under the guise of sport. which is just fine for what it is. I was noticing just how much it reminded me of the Pro Wrestling stuff. :-) It's an entertainment phenomena posing in "drag" as a sporting event, though there might have been a time long ago, back in superbowl yester year, where this might have been different.
