Battery Died

I have always had issues with my battery status on my TiBook. It never seems
to show an merely accurate time/percent remaining on my menu bar. Recently
however, my battery status remains on 0%. Even when it's plugged in to the
power adapter. It doesn¹t charge. I unplugged the power adapter after
charging my battery for sometime (with the status remaining on 0%) and my
battery died on me in less than 15 minutes, usually I get at least an hour
and a half.

Any suggestions on what is going on?
