Browsing Apple's GB discussion it seems that latency is common with USB audio interfaces. Curiously, the knowledgebase article references a "faster response" button that doesn't exist as they describe it, but the "Minimum delay when playing instruments live" button seems close enough. I was able to work around the latency anyway by using the laptop sound out instead of the iMic's sound out. Saves the output signal a trip thru processing thru USB, I guess. Lucky for me I have that output, should have thought of it sooner. . . GarageBand is pretty neat, I've played with it for hours. It so much easier to make bad music now than it used to be . . . <grin>
