ram upgrade ?

I would like to upgrade my ram from 2 - 256 mb chips to 2 - 512 mb in 
my tibook 1ghz.

These are the original ram chips that came with the tibook.
I want to sell them and get the 512's.

Is there anywhere (business)  they will take these in as "trade" on the 
512 mb chips?
Or do I have to try and sell these 256 sticks privately to get any cash 
back?

If it's proper, is anyone here interested another 256 mb stick or two 
at a good price? :-)
