At my wit's end, I am resorting to the list -- which I shoulda done long ago. Here's the scenario: I swapped hard drives in my 17" Alu and since then I am plagued with loss of the Address Book and I also can't install a fresh copy of Palm Desktop (for hotsynching a PDA). Everything cooks until the end of the installation when I get a dialogue box telling me I don't have access privileges. I have reinstalled Panther and upgraded it to 10.3.2. I have tried replacing the individual files although the Address Book is also missing from my external drive (FW250 LaCie). Funny enough, I was able to use an old backup of the Palm folder and retrieve my contacts as a backup to the Palm. So all is not lost. But it is frustrating as anything not having an Address Book. When I try and access it from the hard drive, it bounces a half dozen times but then disappears without anything else. Any suggestions will be eagerly accepted and put into action immediately! -- Best regards, Murray murrayka at mac.com murray at macpro.ca
