Thanks Lisbeth, i've been thinking about that one too.

The other idea I had was to give my external firewire drive to 
somebody, with the Installer discs, and let them use builtin firewire 
to install to the external... but that would necessitate usinf 
CarbonCopyCloner to move the install back to my internal drive... 
heheh, not sure how all that would play out.
