I had an Epson printer that lasted all of 6 months before I finally got rid of it. It was noisy, cheap in construction and slow. I forget the model number (something like 420 - ?). Anyhow, I moved to an HP 990cse and it was great! Heavily constructed and quiet. The only problem I had with it was that the colour print heads kept getting clogged and had to be replaced with half the ink still in them - And they are expensive! So I gave the HP away and moved to a 6 cartridge Canon i960. It isn't quite the solid brute that the HP was, but it is quiet and blazingly fast and produces awesome photos. I love the fact that if a print nozzle acts up, it can be replaced leaving the other 5 intact. With the recent upgrade to the print drivers it now is 100% compatible with Panther with all the functions restored. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a paper-saving Duplex printing unit like the HP did, so I had to go out and buy one after-market (which brought the price up considerably). jg
