Just what I was about to suggest! If you go to a store that sells Palm
Pilots, they also sell very thin film sheets that fit over the display of a
PDA and protect the surface from scratches made by a stylus. I use them for
my PDA and also the LCD screens of my cameras for protection. But this
discussion is prompting me to try one on the track pad. I am pretty sure
they would work.
