I looked into XTension, but it doesn't support the X-10 290 Computer interface unit. I have been using MouseHouse software from long ago. The reason for this is a) it supports the 290 (which connects to my computer via a Keyspan USB -> Serial box) and b) I have several very complex programs written for MouseHouse that took me ages to perfect to my satisfaction and there appears to be no way of importing these programs into Xtension. I suppose I could buy a Lynx unit, learn a totally new interface and spend weeks trying to duplicate what I did for the MouseHouse program. I haven't had to do this since I could just boot into OS 9 with my Titanium Powerbook, select which program I want my X-10 modules to respond to and get out. If I can find out what is preventing Classic from running MouseHouse, I will contine to use it. If not, I will probably be looking for an old Powerbook with serial ports that is in decent condition. jg
