[Ti] Login Window Starting

I cloned one mac to another, using Carbon Copy Cloner.  Now, when I try 
to start the 2nd mac, the startup procedure completes most of the tasks 
and stops on "Login Window Starting" and waits, forever.  It may be due 
to the fact that the 2 systems are not of the same typer (one is a G4 
TiBook, the other is a G4 desktop).  Is there a way out of this?  I did 
re-do the cloning procedure, erasing the target directories - that 
didn't change anything.
