sorry, I meant within the same model they are identical (400==500 and
550==667)

If you open system preferences and type "key" in the spotlight window,
from the pull down menu select "reset key modifiers", the keyboard
preferences will be highlighted. Click on it, and a pull down menu will
appear that should allow you to change the modifiers as you will (I
haven't tried on my laptop, since I've panther on it).
