[Ti] Battery Problem

Hi all. All of a sudden, my battery isn't working (a bummer as I'm  
traveling).  The battery icon says "no battery available".

I tried another person's battery and my 17" PB sees it ok.

Is it normal that the battery just stops? Is there any way I can  
recondition it?

Finally, anyone got ideas as to where to replace it (I'm in Greece at  
the moment) if that's the general wisdom of the group?
