I've enjoyed all the posts on this amazing development. Being a non-geek, I don't know AMD from x86 from PPC in terms compiling code for chip architecture, so I've learned a lot. But I think the truth of the matter is finally coming out in this thread about copy protection. As Deep Throat said to Woodward and Bernstein, "Follow the money". After the big success of the iPod and iTunes music store, there is Hollywood, fuming and raging for years now about copy protection, wanting to be sated. And Steve doesn't want to miss the prize.
