And that's what's important to the majority of whatever segment of the
computer population Apple has. Chris talks about the Power 5+ and Power 6
chips but fails to realize (perhaps he does) that these are not commodity
chips and would be 1) prohibitively expensive for use in a commodity desktop
2) would not work in a laptop due to size or cooling 3) do not have the
yield that lesser chips have due to complexity. This is why IBM touts them
for use as server and minicomputer building blocks and not desktop. Intel
does the same with their high end chips as well.

And in the end it's about how well the OS works that counts in the
marketplace. This will not change significantly if at all with Intel inside.
