Good question, will it be i386? OSX was originally designed for i386. All in all, I like the idea. Now if they would upgrade the hardware backwards to the cool round iMac and the Titanium--with Intel Inside THEN we'd be rockin'! But until then, my dual 1.42 is on the bench, and the Dell does all the work. Heck, my 2001 stock Dell does 2048x1536, while my much newer Apple does like a whopping 1280 or something lame like that. Apple has given us nothing to get excited lately about until now-well not "now", but the new Intel's should be out by the time Longhorn comes out with SP2. So disappointing; what's up with converting the second generation ipod into an iMac, with an ipodlounge aftermarket stand? If Apple was in the NFL, they'd be 2-14 this year, but with the draft, picking up a new QB/Processor--things are looking up for the future.
