My Al 125 typically operates - processor temperature - at 58°C, up to 63°C, by which temperature the (internal) fan is quite audible. I should say that I am running Folding at Home, which means the cpu is 100% active all the time. Without F at H, the cpu temperature is "normally" (for my work) in the 40s (celcius). >>2) best way to cool off the laptops cheaply is with a fan Here in Saudi Arabia, we have a/c in the apartments, and I note the room temperature needs to be around 22 or 23°C (295 - 296 K if you are not familiar with Celcius :-) ) otherwise the PB is running 'hot' (= 60+). I used to have the Tilt & Tote for my Ti-book, which kept it conveniently just off the desktop. Now, I use my spare battery to raise the back of muy Al-book a few cm off the desktop, to enable air to circulate and aid the cooling. Trevor
