[Ti] can't copy folder "in use" message??

Hi all,

I just wanted to copy a folder, let's call it "A", over from my tibook 
HD to my firewire back up but I get the message that says folder
"A-1" within in folder "A" can't copy because its "in use".  What's in 
this folder A-1 is just some pictures.

I made sure permissions were all ok for the folders but I still get the 
"can't copy because it's in use" message.

Suggestions?
